Vacation Plans for Adult Clients

Want your adult family member to have a special vacation experience? Our case coordinators can organize vacation plans, from transportation to hotel reservations—whatever fits your loved one’s needs. An Access staff member can also be available to accompany clients on their trip, if requested.

Wellness Program

Access has developed a wellness program entitled “Living Healthy”. We offer different programs and classes throughout the year for all of our staff and clients to participate in. All educational information is geared towards living healthier, and has included such things as pedometers to measure distances walked, blood pressure screenings, a scavenger hunt at the mall to encourage walking, a Wii bowling tournament, and healthy cooking classes.

Special Olympics

Our staff encourages clients to participate in local Special Olympics activities. Case managers will help your family register to participate and ensure they have the opportunity to partake in the sport(s) of their choice.

YMCA

Access also has agency passes available to check out to visit the Red River Zoo, Children’s Museum at Yunker Farm, and other local events. In addition, Access utilizes community resources to obtain tickets for community events such as FM Community Theatre productions, concerts, RedHawks games, and the Shrine Circus.

MCLC Center (Michael Czichotzki Learning Center)

Located at the Agency tri-plex at 910 9th Ave. S. in Moorhead, the MCLC is available for clients and staff to utilize for outings. It was named in honor of Michael W. Czichotzki, a client of Access who passed away in November 2007. Some activities that are held at the center include art classes, craft nights, bingo, and fitness classes.
